The COVID-19 pandemic is unlike anything our organization or our community have faced before. We’re presented with a choice - do we sit back and hope for the best, or do we come together, take action, and support the things we care about most during this time of need?
The team here at MBOSC is making it easy for you to make an everlasting difference in the health of our public lands and collective health. For every $5 you contribute to support Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz (MBOSC), a 501(c)(3) trail stewardship organization, and the COVID relief fund of your choice, you can protect vulnerable communities, support trails, and earn a chance to win the Ibis Cycles bike of your choice. What are you waiting for? Let’s beat this thing, give our trails some much-needed love, and get back in the saddle with our friends. This is a 4-week flash fundraiser, so make sure to get your contributions in before time runs out!
Through this campaign, MBOSC will give 25% of each contribution to a COVID-19 response fund making a major impact in the fight against this pandemic. You can choose whether you’d like to funnel a portion of your contribution to:
We’re in this together, and leveraging one of our biggest annual bike giveaways of the year is the best way to support recovery at both the local and global level while also furthering our mission of expanding and maintaining sustainable trail networks across Santa Cruz County and the bay area at large.
Since the onset of COVID-19, we’ve seen parks and public outdoor spaces flooded with visitors. Our trails provide much-needed healing during times of crisis and serve as venues for exercise, meditation, and relaxation for thousands of people every day. The value of robust, sustainable trail networks is clear now more than ever, as is the need for community-driven trail stewardship. Your support right now will help us hit the ground running with new trail projects and trail maintenance.
The online fundraiser closes Monday, May 25, 2020, at 11:59PM Pacific. The drawing will take place Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
